AIR TIGHTNESS TESTING

At least one dwelling of every type within a residential development must undergo an air tightness test, also known as an air pressure or air permeability test. This is to ensure the assumed level of air permeability used in the SAP calculations has been achieved.

Bridgewater Energy is registered with the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing to carry out Air Pressure Testing and provide certified reports for submission to building control bodies. We provide advice to developers giving them confidence to not only pass the tests but to look to lowering their target level of air permeability giving them greater flexibility at the SAP design stage.
