DISPLAY ENERGY CERTIFICATES
Display Energy Certificates or DEC’s are required for buildings with a floor area over 1000m² that are occupied by public authorities or institutions that provide services to members of the public and that may be visited by the public.
Buildings such as local authority offices, libraries, public leisure facilities, education centres, NHS trusts, and prisons will be affected. It is the responsibility of the building occupiers to provide the DEC.
DEC’s show the energy efficiency of a building based upon the actual energy consumption as recorded by gas, electricity and other meters.
The certificate must be displayed in a prominent position and is accompanied by an advisory report that lists cost effective measures to improve the energy rating of the building. The certificate is valid of one year so must be renewed annually, the advisory report is valid for seven years.
In order to provide a quote for a DEC we need to know some details about the building and the level of information that will be available. For a fixed quote please download our enquiry form below and return it to us by fax or email. Alternatively you can call us on 01942 888092 to discuss your requirements.
